WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Valleys acknowledges as its sole Head, Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Savior of the world. It acknowledges as brothers and sisters in Christ all who share in this confession. It looks to the Word of God in the Scriptures, and to the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, to prosper its creative and redemptive work in the world. It claims as its own the faith of the historic Church expressed in the ancient creeds and reclaimed in the basic insights of the Protestant Reformers. It affirms the responsibility of the Church in each generation to make this faith its own in accordance with the teaching of our Lord and the practice prevailing among evangelical Christians. It recognizes two sacraments: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper or Holy Communion.
OUR WORSHIP SERVICE . . .
. . . is designed to reach all members of the family. It is our belief that the family will be served spiritually as they worship together. We have a children’s message each Sunday which presents a religious and moral lesson in a way that can be understood by the children. Our choir helps to lift our voices to God in praise and adoration. Our pastor presents Bible-centered messages which equip us for living the faith in an ever-changing world. But, more than anything else, friendly fellowship is our hallmark as we take time to reach out to share the faith that we proclaim.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION . . .
. . . is vital in a demanding world. We have a firm commitment to spiritual growth at The Valleys. Our Church School Classes study God’s Word and provide ways to apply it to daily living. We offer classes for primary grades, youth, and adult studies and for those with small children we have a fully staffed nursery.
OUR YOUTH PROGRAM
“The Teens” . . . For 6th Grade through High School.
We offer a Youth Group under the supervision of caring and qualified adult advisors. They share their faith through fellowship, service, and fun.
The Group meets on the 2nd Sunday of every month at 6:30 P.M. and new members are welcome.
OUR SENIORS
The Valleys host two Halifax Senior Groups . . .
The Senior Center is open weekdays from 8:00 A.M to 11:00 A.M.— A Monday morning Bible Study is provided by local Ministers at 10:00 A.M.—The Senior Center hosts the Halifax “Meals on Wheels” for local shut-ins.
The Senior Citizens meet at the Valleys on the first Thursday of each month at 12:00 P.M. for a program and refreshments.
